The Accommodation; room by room
Access
The cottage consists of the first floor of the old stable block at South Hill Farmhouse. It is approached via an external staircase from its own carparking area.
Dining Room
From the top of the staircase access is via a stable door into the Dining Room. The Dining Room has plenty of room for coats and boots etc as well as a large dining table suitable for up to 8 people. The cottage is supplied with crockery, glasses etc for 8 people.
The Dining Room also acts as an entrance hall with doors into the Kitchen, Bedrooms and Hallway.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven with grill, gas hob,
dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer.
There are pots and pans and utensils sufficient for any normal cooking,
if you have any specific requirements check out the inventory or email
us.
We provide a small range of herbs and spices to get you started. We also provide a small quantity of tea, coffee and milk so that you don't have to dash to the supermarket the moment you arrive.
Bedrooms
The 2 bedrooms share the same layout. Each bedroom has 1 x queen-size (5'/150cm) double bed + 1 x single bed (3'/90cm) both beds are 6'6"/200cm long.
Also in the rooms are wardrobes and drawer units so that you have enough space to unpack when you get here. Each bed has a reading lamp and the double bed has bedside tables (the single bed is close enough to use the drawer unit as a nightstand).
En-suite Bathroom
Both bedrooms have access to the same en-suite bathroom, a "Jack and Jill" arrangement. This bathroom has a shower, WC and wash handbasin, it also has heated towel rails to dry and warm your bath towels as well as a radiator to warm the room.
Main Bathroom
The main bathroom is off the hallway between the Dining Room and the Lounge. This bathroom has a bath, shower, WC and wash handbasin.
Laundry
Hidden in the cupboards along the hallway are a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board . Also in these cupboards are cleaning appliances like vacuum cleaner, mop & bucket etc.
Lounge
The lounge has a cotswold stone wall at one end behind the wood-burning stove.
It has a 3 piece suite for comfortable seating and another sofa which can unfold into a comfortable double size (4'6"/135cm x 6'3"/190cm) futon bed.
The lounge contains the 28"/71cm television with VCR, DVD and digibox (enables you to watch freeview channels as well as the normal 5 channels).
